Is your Neck being a pain!

Don't give up your desired lifestyle because of problems that can be fixed. That is why we created this specifically for you.

Most people believe that if they get Neck Pain, it will go away on its own. They’ll wake up one morning, and it’ll be as if nothing happened… But six months later, you’re still dealing with nagging pain that’s worse than when it first started.

Do You Sound Like That?

In our physical therapy clinic, another frequently occurring scenario is when patients visit the doctor and receive advice to relax and “try some medicines” to “see how it goes.” However, after six weeks, they return to the same doctor since things haven’t improved, only to get ANOTHER prescription for even stronger medication.

Have You Ever Experienced That?

Perhaps you are perplexed because various people have given you conflicting information. You can believe you have a neck issue. Finding the source of the issue in the body can be very difficult, which frequently causes people to put off choosing how to relieve their neck pain. Even worse, many individuals simply come to accept it as a “part of life,” as if it were inevitable or necessary.

Is This How You’re Feeling?

If You Have Neck Pain, Here Are 7 More Reasons Why It May Be Lasting Longer Than It Should:

1. You expected it to go away on its own, but it didn’t.

2. You went to the doctor, who told you to rest and take pain relievers, but the pills didn’t help, and as soon as they wore off, the neck pain returned.

3. You just accepted it because a family member or friend told you that everyone gets neck pain as they age.

4. You previously sought assistance from other Healthcare Professionals or a Physical Therapist, but nothing they said or did seem to help.

5. You’ve tried heating pads and TENS units, but they’ve done nothing to alleviate your pain.

6. You thought resting would be a good idea because your neck pain was so severe, but it still irritates you daily.

7. You decided to get a few “massages” in the hopes that they would relieve your pain, but they made you feel nice and relaxed and did nothing to help you in the long run.

If any of these things have happened to you, we would love to assist you by inviting you to schedule a call with one of our Physical Therapists to find out what we can do to help you. Because you’ve tried some or all of these things, we know what doesn’t work, so we’re getting closer to discovering what does. The next question we are frequently asked is:

"How Can You Get Rid of Neck Pain?"...

So, here are four things you can do:

1. First and foremost, you must decide whether or not to seek assistance. So many people procrastinate for so long, believing that the neck pain will ‘just go away with time,’ only to find that six months later, nothing has changed…or it has gotten worse.

2. Next, do the RIGHT exercises – one of the best things you can do to help relieve your neck pain is to do the right series of progressed exercises – the right exercises given to you by a Physical Therapist will help reduce pain, allow you to move freely again quickly – and ensure that the problems don’t reoccur anytime soon.

3. Avoid sleeping or sitting in awkward positions – Have you ever awoken with a sore neck? after a long day of sitting? That’s because sitting with bad posture and sleeping in awkward positions are two of the worst things you can do to aggravate neck pain. It would be extremely beneficial if you were given appropriate strengthening exercises for better posture and hands-on treatment to get you active and healthy as soon as possible.

4. Real, “hands-on” Physical Therapy – Physical Therapy has been shown to help people suffering from neck pain. It’s one of the most common problems we see at Z-Line Fitness and Rehab. Suppose your neck pain is interfering with your job. In that case, if it prevents you from staying active or if it threatens your independence and prevents you from spending quality time with family and friends, physiotherapy can help you get back to living the life you deserve as soon as possible.
